We all get so excited start something new, nothing can be more true for us makers. Something about it, just hits the spot.
When you first get started on your new CSM, setting up your space is going to be important!
The first thing you'll need is a sturdy surface to mount your CSM to, whether it is a desk, table or counter, something that does not move a lot or at all is good.
The next thing is a comfortable chair, because you'll be there for awhile and with the high learning curve on a CSM, if you're not familiar, it might take a little while to get the hang on it. So being comfortable while you're learning is a bonus.
There are lots of little fun tools that are not included with your machine that will make your cranking journey easier, but they are not essential.
- Spool holder for sewing is a good for keeping your yarn unwinding easily if you use caked yarn.
- Ball winder, is a good tool to have if you're already a knitter or crocheter, it helps wind your yarn into 'cakes'.
- Desk lamp, if your space isn't well lit, a lamp is super handy to have for dropped stitches, it makes it easier to see what you're doing.
