Chantel of mudpunch is a Canadian indie dyer who began dyeing yarn on the West Coast in 2015. Driven by a love of colour and colour theory, she creates distinctive shades, from vibrant pops of pink to soft, muted tones inspired by subtle hints of colour. Her passion for experimentation shines through in every skein, bringing creative colour combinations to life for makers to enjoy.
The name mudpunch has a fun origin story rooted in Chantel’s childhood entrepreneurial spirit, when she invented and sold homemade mud-filtered water to neighbourhood kids to fund her next big idea!

The 72 needle cylinder for by Sound Yarn and Fibre knitting machine was spidering where the cylinder and gear screw together. I ordered a new cylinder and it has a border layer on the bottom so those holes shouldn’t spider like the ones on the older cylinder did. Thank you!

I ordered a tool storage bin at the same time as my CSM and I’m so glad that I did. The CSM came with a lot of really useful tools and this little organizer keeps them all together. When the bin is open, there are two sides with fixed dividers perfectly sized to hold the tools plus some extras. I appreciate that the dividers don’t come loose, slide around, or fall out and become another thing that I need to hunt down. The bin closes securely for storage. No more wondering where all of my doodads have wandered off to. I love this thing!
